Crash

Blah, so Five Diamond didn’t go so great. I managed to bust on Day 1 of a Bellagio WPT. Considering the structure, it seems like an accomplishment. I’m now officially 0 for Bellagio lifetime….and love the place.

I got home and went to the doctor, my limb had been irritating me. Limb = 3/4′s of my right leg that’s still there and fits into my prosthetic.

Diagnosis?

Infected. (yawn)

The medication I was prescribed cost $60 w/insurance (opposed to 3 other prescriptions that cost $15 w/insurance) and took a day to special order in. Sure hope it works.

I still haven’t booked anything for January yet, although I’m pretty sure I’m going to end up at the PCA. In all honesty I probably should just say screw it and goto both the PCA and Aussie Millions like I did in 07. I guess I could do Biloxi instead of Australia….hmmm, I’ll figure it out. Might have some scheduling conflicts in January anyways, so it’s good that there’s 3-4 big tournaments to choose from.

I’ve just been taking it easy at home the last couple of days. Did all of my Christmas shopping, and been hangin out with friends. I went to a hookah bar tonight and had my presence announced to everyone over the sound system. Yea…that was kinda weird.

“Local celebrity?”

Heh, if you say so. I’m just happy to be here.

0 for Five (Diamond)

It’s been a pretty disappointing series so far. At least I don’t have any irritating final table bubbles, but the deepest I’ve made it so far is the 200/400/25 level in a $3k. Just as I was getting zoned-in I promptly lost a 40k pot vs Marco Johnson with AA to 99 (open UTG, 3-bet OOP, flat, 953, bet, shove, call, lose…how’s that for a hand history?). The fields have been pretty good overall, surpassing my expectation in attendance. Hopefully I can end the year with a bang and go on a deep run in the upcoming $5k’s/WPT 5D ME.

I’m checking out units at Panorama Towers on the 10th. I can’t say I’m looking forward to the stress involved with moving from Ohio to Las Vegas, but it’ll be worth it. While talking to my friend Jon Aguiar (who moved to Vegas from Boston) he suggested I use a moving/storage service, which will cost far less than regular movers. Seems a lot better than my original plan of selling all my stuff in my apartment at like 50% then buying new stuff in Vegas. I really didn’t want to have to sell my plasma TV/couch anyways :P
