Too busy enjoying life to blog

Posted by Adam Junglen

Haven’t gotten around to taking any pictures of my new place yet. I’ve still got some stuff to setup around the condo. I still need to put away a bunch of clothes and install the television and my desktop, but we’ve pretty much taken care of everything else. At any rate most Panorama units are all fairly similar, but I was lucky to find an end unit that has two balcony’s and more space than most of the other rooms.

I’ve been putting in more hours at the tables, both online and live. The last two nights I’ve been bored and drove to Bellagio at like 1am to play their 10/20nl uncapped. I think I’m gonna start playing more live cash. Maybe learn some new games along the way.

Here’s what I’ve got coming up:

5/30: $5k WSOPC in Rincon. I’ll probably decide if I’m going 6 hours before Shaun starts driving on Monday morning.

SCOOP tourneys in April, along with the Bellagio 5-Star series. Lots of prelim’s, good cash games and the WPT Championship $25k.

After the $25k WPT, I’m about 68.5% certain I’ll be going to Monte Carlo for the big EPT series. There’s a 10k euro main, 25k euro high roller, 5k euro PLO and a few others. There’s also a WSOPC series ($5k ME) that overlaps with Monte Carlo at Caesar’s, but I really shouldn’t miss out on MC, esp after skipping it last year. Guess we’ll just wait and see as the date approaches.

I’ve been out here for about 10 days and love it.

Stow —> Las Vegas

Posted by Adam Junglen

Phew. After 2,200+ miles in a 16 foot truck loaded & towing all of my worldly possession, my Dad and I finally made it to Las Vegas. Like a true lazy poker player I paid for all of his expenses and gave him my old 37in HDTV and he drove the truck the entire time.

We’re picking up my keys and visiting my Dads cousin who lives here on Sunday. Between that time Shaun’s supposed to arrive and then we’re unloading/moving in on Monday. I’m really looking forward to finally getting settled here.

Until then we’re staying at the Bellagio. This is my Dads first time here…not just Bellagio, but Las Vegas. He’s pretty blown away by everything, pointing out all kinds of things I’m now used to, overlook and take for granted. It’s been a really fun and memorable trip.

I’ll finally have my place at Panorama next time I post!

Bluff Challenge VBlog

Busy Busy Busy

I’m finally back home after a month on the road. I’ve been fighting a nasty cold, but am starting to think it might finally be going away. It’s been annoying being sick for the last month, but I don’t think it’s hurt my performance at the tables too badly.

Today the Bluff/Lock Poker Challenge started up. Several hours in and I’ve already lost a quarter of my bankroll playing $10 sngs. Bluff is having us video blog as much as we can, so expect something up soon. For what it’s worth I do plan on taking this challenge at least somewhat seriously. I’m going to try my best to keep detailed records and record some videos for PokerVT in the process.

LAPC ended in frustration. I whiffed the heads-up, lost a 150bb race with AK to QQ in the $5k, then finally got chips in the main event (after being down to 10k at 100/200) and got in a rough spot against Daniel Negreanu. AQ < QQ on the AQ77. I even told him what he had before he showed me his cards, lol.

I’ve got a ton of stuff to take care of in the next week. Maybe the upcoming video blogs will be a nice change of pace for me. Although I don’t love the idea of video blogging, it’ll be fun to record during my cross country trip.

Can’t wait til I’m settled in Vegas. I signed a lease a few days ago at Panorama and am moving in with Shaun Deeb. It should be interesting to say the least.
