The home stretch of a trainwreck
Wow. The WSOP is such a time warp. June is almost already over. I suppose time flies when you’re playing a tournament or two everyday. I’ve played almost 20 events so far and I still haven’t put a single dollar on the board. In fact, I’ve only made it past day one twice (in the $40K & $10KPLO).
Frustrating to be going into the last week without a cash. This is not exactly how I pictured my first WSOP. Although I do realize being 0 for 18 or 1 for 18 is not a “crazy” unreasonable outcome. Especially considering the nature of tournaments and the variance involved. Then again all it takes is one tournament to make 1 for 20 look real good.
Lookin forward to the $5k 6-max, $3k NL, and then the main event will be here before you know it.

Still a lot of poker left and as you said, one tournament can turns things around.
I saw you from the rail at I believe the 10k PLH table with Negreanu but you were too far away for me to say hello.
Good luck,

Adam,
I first learned about you when Poker VT first came out. I was a member for about 4 or 5 months… I think that was 2007? I even came to this site of yours because I wanted to let you know that your videos were helpful and my game bumped up considerably. I’m still more of a loser than a winner, but I do see wins a lot more often and my friends basically don’t want to play with me anymore. Haha.
I’m writing to you this time because I see at the WSOP this time around, finally old enough to play. I don’t know if you played last year or if you were still too young, but whatever. I see you’re playing now.
And you have my support. Give ‘em hell. And if you don’t. Whatever! You’re winning in the grand scheme of things.
Be well,
-J
